Installation Instructions

Before you start

Every XEcycle mount is printed for a specific helmet or seatpost model. Check the part matches your exact model before fitting — if something seems wrong, email support@xecycle.shop with a photo before forcing anything. TPU is flexible by design; force is never required.

Helmet camera mounts

  1. Check the fit dry. Hold the mount against the helmet and match its shape to the vents it's designed around. It should be obvious where it sits.
  2. Thread the zip ties (included) through the mount and the helmet vents. Don't fully tighten yet.
  3. Seat the mount, then tighten the ties evenly until it doesn't shift under firm finger pressure. Clip the tails.
  4. Flexible tail trick: if the mount's tail is hard to get through a vent, bend it slightly — it's designed to flex. Do not pull hard against the helmet shell.
  5. Clip in your camera using its own magnetic clip, and tug-test before riding.

Never drill, cut, glue or heat a helmet. If a mount seems to need that, it's the wrong mount — contact us instead.

Seatpost light mounts

  1. Slide the mount onto the seatpost from below, before refitting any saddlebag.
  2. Position it clear of the saddlebag and high enough that the light has a clean line behind you.
  3. Tighten the screws evenly (all screws included). Snug, not crushing — TPU grips well without heavy torque, and excessive clamping force on a carbon post is its own problem.
  4. Mount the light on the quarter-turn or GoPro interface, and confirm the lens sits level with the ground — that's the whole point of the model-specific angle.

Every ride

  • Check the mount is secure and uncracked before you set off.
  • Replace any part showing cracks, whitening, deformation or play.
  • Replace after any crash, even if it looks intact.
