FAQ

Fitment

How do I know it fits my helmet?

Every product page lists the exact helmet models it fits. Match your model and its model year — manufacturers revise shells without renaming them, so a 2024 lid and a 2026 lid of the same model aren't always the same shape.

My helmet isn't on the list. Can you still help?

Often, yes. Email support@xecycle.shop with your helmet's model, year, and a couple of photos — ideally straight down on the top vents, and from the side. Most of our range exists because a customer asked for it.

Which camera clip do I need?

Pick the clip that matches your camera: DJI Osmo Nano, Insta360 GO 3S, or Insta360 GO Ultra. The mount base is the same; the clip is what changes. If you own two cameras, order the mount once and message us — we'll sort out the second clip.

Do I have to modify my helmet?

No, and you must not. Our mounts are designed to fit using existing vents and the helmet's own geometry. Never drill, cut, glue or heat a helmet — it destroys the protective structure it's certified for. If a mount doesn't seat properly without force, stop and contact us.

The product

What are they made of?

TPU — a flexible, impact-resistant engineering plastic. It flexes rather than shattering, which is what you want on a helmet, and it grips without needing sharp clamping force against the shell.

Will 3D-printed plastic actually hold?

Yes, in normal riding use. Every part is printed with solid infill in the load path, inspected, and test-fitted before dispatch. That said, plastics fatigue: check the mount before each ride, and replace it if you see cracks, whitening, deformation or play. Always replace after a crash.

Mine has visible layer lines. Is that a defect?

No. Fine layer lines and slight colour variation between batches are normal characteristics of 3D printing. Function is what we guarantee. If a part is cosmetically poor enough to bother you, tell us — we'd rather know.

Will it survive rain?

Yes. TPU isn't affected by water. Your camera's own weather rating is the limiting factor, not the mount.

Does it affect helmet safety or my warranty?

Our parts are aftermarket and aren't tested, endorsed or approved by helmet manufacturers. Attaching any accessory may void your helmet's warranty or certification — check with the manufacturer if that matters to you. Please read the safety section of our Terms of Service before your first ride.

Can I use it on a motorcycle / ski helmet / at high speed?

They're designed for road cycling speeds and lightweight action cameras only. Don't fit heavier cameras, lights or batteries, and don't use them for motorsport.

Ordering and delivery

What does shipping cost?

$5 flat, per order, anywhere in the world. It doesn't increase with quantity — so order multiple mounts together and pay shipping once.

How long will it take?

We dispatch within 1–2 business days. After that, typically 10–20 business days to the US, UK and Europe, and 5–12 across Asia. Full breakdown in our Shipping Policy.

Do I pay customs or import duty?

Prices don't include import duties or taxes. Our parcels are low-value and usually clear without a charge, but that's your customs authority's call. Any fees charged on arrival are the recipient's responsibility.

Can I track it?

Yes, every order ships tracked. The first scan can take 3–5 business days to appear, and it's normal for tracking to look stalled while a parcel moves between countries.

Where do you ship from?

Foshan, Guangdong, China.

Returns

What if it doesn't fit or arrives damaged?

Email us within 30 days with your order number and a photo. If it's our error or a faulty part, we replace it or refund you — and in most cases we won't ask you to post it back, because return postage usually costs more than the part.

What if I just changed my mind?

30-day returns apply, but return shipping is yours and the original $5 isn't refunded. Message us first — for low-value parts we'll usually offer a partial refund or store credit instead and let you keep the item. Full detail in our Refund Policy.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, any time before dispatch — usually a 1–2 business day window. Email us as soon as you can.

Other

Do you take custom or wholesale orders?

Custom design requests and club, team or shop orders are welcome. Email support@xecycle.shop with what you need, quantities, destination and your deadline.

Can I get the 3D files?

No — we sell finished parts, not the designs behind them.

How do I contact a human?

support@xecycle.shop, answered within 1–2 business days, Monday to Friday.
