But if you wear glasses, you've already found the catch: there is no prescription option. No official RX insert, no lens program, nothing on the roadmap. Contact lenses or blur — that's the menu.
An insert where Oakley left a gap
Our prescription lens insert is a 3D-printed frame that clips onto the bridge behind the Vanguard's shield and holds a pair of prescription lenses exactly where your eyes need them. It was designed around the Vanguard's internals, which means:
- Nothing is blocked — cameras, microphones, speakers and charging contacts all stay clear.
- Quick release — clips in and out in seconds, no tools, for cleaning or for the days you ride with contacts.
- A few grams — printed light so the Vanguard still feels like the Vanguard.
Two ways to get lenses in it
Frame only ($99): take the insert to any local optician and have lenses cut for it like a normal frame. Any optical shop can do it.
Frame + lenses ($149): we fit lenses to your prescription before shipping. After checkout, send your numbers through the prescription form — sphere, cylinder, axis and PD, exactly as your optometrist wrote them. We don't ship until your prescription is confirmed.
A note on strong prescriptions
An insert this compact suits most everyday prescriptions well. Very strong corrections can push lens thickness and edge distortion — if you're beyond roughly ±6 diopters, ask your optometrist or email support@xecycle.shop first and we'll tell you honestly whether it will work for you.
