GO 3S, Osmo Nano or GO Ultra: Which Camera Clip Do You Need for Your Helmet Mount?

The single most common question we get: "Does the mount come with the clip?"

Short answer: no — and that's deliberate. Your camera already shipped with a perfectly engineered magnetic clip. Our helmet mount is a shaped TPU cradle that holds that clip securely on the front of your aero helmet. You keep using the magnetic attach/detach you already know, and you're not paying twice for a part you own.

The catch: clips differ between cameras, so the cradle must match. Here's how to pick.

The three clip types we support

1. DJI Osmo Nano — original clip. The clip that comes in the Osmo Nano box, with the OSMO logo on the hinge. If you bought the standard combo, this is what you have. (Aftermarket Nano clips are shaped differently and are not supported — use the DJI original.)

2. Insta360 GO 3S — original clip. The pill-shaped magnetic pendant clip included with the GO 3S. Our cradle grips it directly.

3. Insta360 GO Ultra — official magnetic clip. The GO Ultra's own magnetic clip mount is newly supported across the range — select this option if you're on Insta360's latest.

How to check in 10 seconds

Look at the clip you snap the camera into:

  • OSMO logo on the hinge → Nano original
  • Oval pendant, Insta360 branding, GO 3S box → GO 3S original
  • GO Ultra box → GO Ultra magnetic

Why we don't make one "universal" cradle

A cradle loose enough to accept every clip is loose enough to drop one at 60 km/h on a descent. Each of our cradle variants is dimensioned around one clip's exact geometry: firm snap in, zero rattle, intentional two-hand release. That's only possible when the fit is specific.
